WE’LL BRING THE CAMPFIRE TO YOU.

We offer a fully mobile camping experience which we bring to schools across the country. Ideal for younger year groups, first nights away from home, and those with limited budgets.
We can offer many of the same fun activities young people undertake at our residential trips, adapted to the space available at your school site.
Below you’ll find an example programme for a 3 day camp, but we can customise the activities and the duration to meet your school’s needs.

Why run a camp at your school?

↠ It’s cost efficient - no need for extra travel arrangements

↠ It’s a great introduction - ideal for younger year groups where we can build progressive skills before they join residential camps in the future

Here’s an idea of how your bushcraft camp could look…

This is a sample programme. If you would like to find out more about what we can offer for camps which are longer or shorter in duration, please click below to get in touch and request more information.

  • Morning: Welcome to camp! Meet your Campfire instructors, get to know your camp, and fun team building tasks. Instructors will build in survival skills throughout the duration of the camp.

Afternoon: Fire lighting workshop looking at different ways to get the Campfire started, including some advanced methods - no matches allowed! Students might use ferro rods, bow drills or some unusual tinders to get the fire going.

Evening: Students begin to prepare their evening meal, which they will cook on their fires in their teams, with instructors to assist where needed. Group campfire, stories, and songs after dinner.

  • Morning: In to the woods to look at shelter building using natural materials and tarps. Also looking at camouflage and concealment before getting cleaned up for lunch!

Afternoon: Food prep workshop, preparing and processing fish. This will be delivered sensitively and respectfully by the instructors. Any students who don’t wish to participate will be able to take part in alternative activities. A session on wild foods and possible forage around the site for some extra ingredients to go with dinner.

Evening: Teams will cook their dinner on their fires, then another group Campfire after dinner with storytelling. Students are also encouraged to come with some good stories to share!

  • Morning: Students will learn about navigation and first aid this morning, before putting it in to practice in the afternoon.

Afternoon: Rescue scenario. This covers navigation, casualty evacuation and first aid in one. Teams will become rescuers, and given the co-ordinates of injured persons. They’ll need to find the casualties, administer first aid, and get them to safety!
